Basic operation
Although the shape of this goniometer is slightly different from the more common ones, it does not change the basic definition of joint angles.
The joint angles can be measured accurately and smoothfull by this goniometer

The goniometer is made up of two plates.The right-hand side is the stationary axis, and the another side is the movement axis.

Hold the stationary axis with the Smart Gonio logo downwards.
The red (blue on the other side) label should be on top.

The angle is predicted visually to give an approximate angle.
Now, let's say you estimate the angle to be 30 degrees, so you can also estimate it in 15-degree increments.

The actual angle was two lines wider than 30 degrees, so the correct angle is 40 degrees.
In most cases, measurements are taken from the unaffected side to the affected side, but if you turn the device over and hold it against the other side, it's easier to compare with the unaffected side.
